Some of the reports from disgruntled employees after the last round of layoffs state that Bill Gates, who was extremely displeased about the lack-luster Windows 8, was brought in as a manager and tasked himself with making sure that the 100 million lines of Seeples code comprising the Windows NT kernel were hand compiled into assembly by thousands of H-1B towelheads to ensure maximum efficiency and security. And now, in a magnanimous act of contrition for the mistakes of Windows 8, Microsoft has elected to give away their prized Operating System for free, at no cost to you. That's a billion dollar value in it's own right, when considering the cost of developing it, but Microsoft sweetened the deal just earlier today by announcing a trade-in program for Red Hat licenses that allow you to exchange RHEL support contracts for XBoxOne games or credits in the app store. Insiders say that the program is likely to be expanded to Novell and Symbolics products as well.
