to play back a simple midi file I had to install like 400 megabytes of dependencies, what kind of sick fucking joke is this? i can install windows 95 which is just a couple megs and double click a midi file and it runs just fine

The point of Linux is to make everything 50x harder. The reward of mastering it is that you can brag about how badass you are and can make fun of people who don't use it.
