One Giant Leap for Mankind

I think the only sane possibility for humanity to ascend is to leave our primitive flesh and transfer our consciousness to computer hardware. After this has been perfected I'd like to see human consciousness clusters. Some sort of hivemind would do wonders in elevating the lowest of humanity. All of humanity would combine to create a super-being, or splinters would create multiple super-beings. Humanity would enter a much larger scale, and begin a completely new era.
