American Land Mooning

Name: Anonymous 2024-11-02 8:54

never happened. real men on the moon would suffocate from smelling shit they shat all over in their space suits, from immense fear. instead they behave like teenagers in an amusement park, and are pale at the "press" conference. also, just watch their "moon" videos in 2x speed.

why was it faked? russians had first satellite, first man in the cosmos, and were first in Berlin in WW2. Americans desperately needed some spiritual achievement, to larp superpower. without this faked land mooning the USA was on geopolitical stage only a money printing banker with big police stick.

russians of course didn't deny it, since USSR was created as and is a crypto colony, a vassal state larping sovereign geopolitical pole. hint: man with the botox in his face is not "Putin", he is CIA puppet. Russia just does "dirty" things on behalf of deep state, so cia and fbi look like angels.

'Be proud of what you do.' Linus Torvalds.
Linus's family has long been involved in politics & turning Finland into another NATO proxy. His father ran as presidential candidate in 2017 on a pro-NATO platform. Linus obviously shares his father's political outlook. I wonder just how close Linus is working with White House & MIC.
Nils Torvalds - 'Could Finland Outgun Russia?' (2022) Times Radio, YT. 'We have a strong army .. we have all the conscripts (etc)'.

This may be the thing that ends Linus' tenure as the leader of the most important FOSS kernel project... Maybe the Russians will fork and then outperform the original Linux because they have Linux and then some. Then whoever maintains that Linux will end up having the most important kernel. It would make me happy to see this happen. Power should change hands every once in a while, no matter what kind of power it is.

It has always struck me how much more talented russian devs are over western devs. Those Ruskies are some highly talented people. Evidence in the games that come out of that Eastern Bloc region of the world. EFT, Stalker, Metro series etc. Meanwhile in the USA you have Fortnite and the Rinse and Repeat hogwash called Call of Duty.

I am a Russian living in US most of my life. I also was a Linux enthusiast since about 1994. My only complaint is that Mr. Linus did not state his position publicly and clearly 30 years ago. I wouldn't have invested myself into studying the OS bearing his name.

Or maybe he just was a better person back then.

Anyway, if Mr. Linus feels racist towards my kind, I am going to oblige.

Could someone please point me to a general purpose open source OS? Risc OS sounds like fun, but I am not that young anymore; besides, I'll probably stick with x86 platform. FreeBSD? Don't care for its mascot. NetBSD, maybe?

Bryan, thanks for your sane, neutral position. These days, it takes a bit of bravery.

@sergleua Dear Segleua, if you recall, I abandoned my motherland almost three decades ago. Back then, there was still "friendship of nations" between Russia and Ukraine; in fact, I firmly believe Russians and Ukrainians (and Belorussians, too) are the same nation, not three different ones.
It breaks my heart to witness my blood brethren, hundreds of thousands Ukrainians, many of whom are as Russian as it gets, and tens of thousands Russians being slaughtered and maimed. I solemnly condemn actions of my country, the US of America, which caused coup in Kiev, civil war in Donbass, and recently Russian military invasion. Hope you are writing from abroad and escaped the carnage. Be safe. I once have been as brainwashed as you are now; it will eventually wear out if you survive long enough.

If the Linux foundation removed all devs associated with a country/company involved with wars of aggression, there shouldn't be single American or British in it... Linus will also be banned (as an American citizen), so... All around an ill conceived idea. Punishing a person for what their government is doing is actually illegal according to international law as well.
Also perhaps it's time to rethink the GPL license, so US courts can't randomly affect it anymore. Just a thought!

Property is and allways has been synonomous with soverinty. Hence why church asylum was a thing. The land property of the church was recognised, so the kings or whatever the case may be could not enforce their rule there. You can only do that on your property.

openBSD is told to be less woke or politically ambiguous. NetBSD always was openBSD bassed as I recall it.
Perhaps a minimal version is a more reasonable start, bloat looks like a preventative for solutions like this.
Perhaps GNU Linux-libre could be a minimal version (a linux without non-Free Software).
It also seem prudent to discriminate new GPL version's. How compatible is GPLv3 BTW?

@Jacob6853 FreeBSD seems to have a lower entry-bar but I could not find anything related to FreeBSD woke except the removal of that kind of discussions.
It could be a valid option but it might also be a problem in development.
A problem with gaming on OpenBSD might be the graphical drivers, Radeon drivers should sort of work while Nvidia drivers do not seem compatible at least not the accelerated drivers. Perhaps the new opensource nvidia drivers will make a difference.
I have also seen an OpenBSD version of wayland, if that works correctly it should make things more easy, both for driver development I imagine and the setup always seemed to be more easy for me.

I must say that Linus must have a room temperature IQ, besides being an invertebrate. Letting a crucial dev go is really a stupid decision. Enrico Weigelt was basically a crucial developer of Xorg, from what I read. This is a prime example of why politics are stupid, so as politicians.

The Linux kernel is now a politically driven project, and it is no better than Rust at this point. Completely unreliable, worse by the year. I feel betrayed and my trust is completely broken. I'll have to find an alternative to Linux altogether, not just pulsaudio or systemd. Or perhaps just delete the ppas for Linux, as I no longer want updates.

Dear Russians banned from Linux: Plz help ChaosEsque instead.
What Linus throws away for free, many of us would love to have. Russians are very good programmers, and they generally know C. Our younger generation in the west has spurned C as "r*cist bo*mer sh*t" and even talks down to millenial programmers about the use of C instead of things like Rust which are "inclusive and exclude r*cists and tr*nsphobic mysog*n*sts".

C doesn't have a Code of Conduct, and that is "troubling", they say.

Please russkies, consider this C project.
