David Watts Because I reckon that swearing at a fan, a lady at that, should be enough information to anyone (who hasn't skipped the first seven years).
The question was why had critical comments (not mine) on Faulkner had disappeared from JP's official Facebook, my concern being freedom of speech. I, alongside anyone critical, was invited to comment on YouTube and YouTube alone, because "there are too many negative comments about me there already". I reckon that indirectly answered my question.
By the way, the question I posed was private, but Faulkner decided to make a media circus by plastering it in public in pursuit of adulation.

He was the first musician to use stereophonic phasing effects in recordings. Holly George-Warren of Rolling Stone commented: "Hendrix pioneered the use of the instrument as an electronic sound source.
Hendrix usually used a Vox Wah pedal alongside a Dallas Arbiter Fuzz Face, Shin-Ei Uni-Vibe pedal, and an Octavia stompbox built by Roger Mayer. Some of these pedals have since been discontinued and are now extremely rare.
Wah pedals with the Hendrix inspiration and branding are still being produced and sold 52 years after his death. It's hard to speculate whether the Wah pedal would be as widely accepted and marketed were it not for Hendrix. Jan 24, 2023.

I am a disciple of Jimi, but those statements are total fallacies. The man doesn't need mythology; he stands on his own true merits. He may have been a very important link in a chain, but he was a link nonetheless. Current sounds cannot be traced back to any one player or band. There were numerous people experimenting with distortion and effects prior to and at the same time as Hendrix who have just as much claim to the evolution of distortion and effects. Zappa used & recorded wah before him, and Eric Clapton was a huge influence on Hendrix's wah use on Axis and particularly Electric Ladyland, just to name two. Hendrix wouldn't have been the same player without the experimental work of those who came before, and the healthy competition of his contemporaries. The Who and Pete Townshend had a huge influence on the sounds he began experimenting with just prior to the formation of the Experience. And just to note, Bob Dunn started experiment with a distorted tone in 1935, and whatever Holly George-Warren wants to contend, it is an opinion and not an objective fact. Hendrix was not the first nor the only guy in the 1960s to see and utilize the guitar as an electronic sound source.

I read on one of the many Hendrix cites that he was a big into testing pedals, is that wrong?
