Rapeape gets payed more than 4400 a month/5200 a year. If you follow the stated figures it is obvious he has a set income that gets matched to inflation, which is common for any job taken seriously. The 4400 number from 2020 is likely closer to 5500-6000 today.
Not that the absolute value is important, as he's relatively being payed the same value as 10+ years ago.

My big question is why the fuck is the site running on such old gear. It's the entire reason why 4chan's posting limitations are kept in place, why they're slow to adopt newer formats (though letting new things age for user hardware support adoption rates is good, and to address security problems is a good practice)
Dual 8-core racks from 2013-2015 are literal throwaway hardware. I find it unbelievable, the definition of the word, that 4chan as a company cannot justify the investment for somewhat modern gear or has troubles being able to fund a single rack tower with 3 2Us and storage.

A single poweredge r430 of 10+ year old gear is fucking throwaway tier. $220 for dual 6 cores and 32GB ram. A literal pre-18 child can buy that shit with part time minimum wage money.
